Well, this took about 10-12 hours of total time coloring. Probably would've gone faster, but markers drying out and the length of the wig itself just added to the whole process.

Here's the back of it

Either way it's DONE! FINALLY!

Such a great job with the hand coloring. Nice work!

And thanks for sharing the whole process. I've really enjoyed watching this unfold.

Thanks! It was definitely a process and a half, but was definitely worth it in the end.

Thankfully I've found a few more ways of doing this that are proving to be far easier. Though, I think I still may get high on fumes somewhat. ~.^

This turned out beautifully! Do you mind if I ask a few questions?~ Did you wash it off afterwords? Does it get on your fingers? Is there a strong scent? Thanks!! :D

Thanks!

Well, there wasn't too much smell after it's fully dry. When you're doing it you can definitely expect to get a good bit of fume sniffing going on since you are only like 12" or so away from the wig as you're coloring.

It's actually sealed with pledge floor wax so there won't be any washing out at this point, which is good since it's being used for several cons. Sealing is important otherwise it will bleed a bit onto your skin and/or fabric if it's warm.

Oh, wow! SO it doesn't come off at all? And it still feels the same-ish, too? I really want to try this! :D

Once you've sealed it, it shouldn't come off. Should be able to style it and wash it just like normal. Didn't notice any difference in how it felt, so yeah...still feels like it should too.

Please post photos when you actually do the cosplay! This has been so interesting watching the progress on your hand coloring of this wig.

Thanks for sharing--

Pictures should be up today at some point...I hope. Still have to unload the car from con this weekend, but after that I'll definitely get all the pictures from the weekend up.
